And even for certain types of file, divshare.com provide flash applications to view files immediately on web without downloading them first. 

Here are the supported files and corresponding applications :

Images (any common format: jpeg,png,bmp) : slideshow player

Musics (mp3 only) : music player (by uploading more than one mp3 file in one folder you can create a playlist)

Video (AVI, WMV, MOV, MPG, ASF and FLV) : flv player (all supported player will be converted to flv, but there is some configuration to turn it off)
